Forging Stronger Partnerships for a Greener Future

The Rotary Club of Pasig South (RCPS) and Sentinel UpCycling Technologies renewed their partnership for the shared vision of creating environmentally responsible solutions while delivering meaningful community impact on 17 April 2026 at Sentinel's office in West Avenue, Quezon City.

Representing RCPS, Good President Arnel Victor C. Valeña led the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, while Mr. Jimmy C. Concepcion represented Sentinel. The collaboration builds on the strong foundation established in 2024 during the term of Immediate Past President Billy How, when Sentinel first became a valued corporate partner of the club.

One of the partnership’s most notable initiatives is Project TrashFormed, an innovative program based in Buting Elementary School in Pasig. The service project, which educated BES students, teachers, and staff about the environment and pollution, trained students for the processing and collection of waste plastic for upcycling, so that the school's trash could be transformed into useful furniture for BES. The project  earned the distinction of Best Service Project for Environment in the district for Rotary Year 2024–2025.

Sentintel Upcycling is unique because it recyles not only the usual hard plastics and water bottles, but also shampoo and detergent sachets, snack food packaging and other plastic waste that are usually considered residual wastes bound for landfills. The company uses these to make furniture, trash cans, and even building materials.

District Governor Gina Sanchez, attended the event, and highlighted the significance of Corporate Partner Initiatives in advancing Rotary’s mission. District Public Image Chairperson Rey Pineda shared a Rotary 101 session, strengthening the partnership through shared understanding and values.

With the presence of dedicated RCPS members and Sentinel employees, this renewed collaboration signals a stronger, united step toward a greener and more sustainable future.
