Empowering Our Future: The D3810 Assistant Governor and District Team Training Seminar (AG DTTS) 2025

On March 8, 2025, the vibrant Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City provided the perfect setting for the highly anticipated Assistant Governor and District Team Training Seminar (AG DTTS) 2025. Hosted by the enthusiastic Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor and chaired by my classmate FCP Babes Catre, this event aimed to equip incoming District Officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to support their clubs effectively.

As the sun rose, heralding a day of empowerment and learning, District Governor Joaquin "Jackie" Rodriguez opened the seminar with enthusiasm, welcoming participants and setting a positive tone for a day filled with collaboration and growth. This year's theme, “UNITE for Good,” resonated deeply among the attendees, reflecting our shared mission to make a meaningful impact in our communities.

A pivotal moment of the morning was the leadership transition, during which District Governor Joaquin Rodriguez officially passed the proceedings to District Governor Elect (DGE) Mary Mei Rodrigo. This symbolic transfer not only marked a change in leadership but also ensured the continuity of the Rotary spirit and commitment to service. Eric Candidato, our Incoming District Executive Secretary, conducted the roll call of teams, fostering connections among the gathered District Officers.

DGE Mary Mei Rodrigo then took the stage to share her vision for the seminar. “Today will be a full day of learning and fellowship,” she said, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among Assistant Governors and district leaders as they embark on this journey together. She also highlighted the significance of unity in supporting this year's theme.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed a series of engaging presentations from various trainers, each contributing their unique expertise to the seminar. Under the adept supervision of Past District Governor Karen Tamayo, diverse trainers presented on vital topics, including best practices for club engagement and innovative strategies for enhancing support. The dynamic atmosphere encouraged active participation and open dialogue, enriching the learning experience for everyone involved.

As the day progressed, the energy in the room was infectious. Attendees eagerly absorbed insights, feeling empowered to embrace their roles as they prepared for the upcoming Rotary year. The opportunity to network with fellow AGs and district leaders fostered an invaluable sense of community and shared purpose.

The closing ceremony served as a heartfelt conclusion to an inspiring day. Each participant received a certificate of completion, recognizing their commitment to service and leadership. As a special token of gratitude, DGE Mary Mei Rodrigo presented each attendee with a charming teddy bear—a symbol of the support and camaraderie that defines our Rotary family.

Reflecting on this remarkable day, it was clear that the AG DTTS was more than just a training seminar; it was a celebration of dedication, collaboration, and the unyielding spirit of service that fuels our efforts. With newfound knowledge and strong connections, we are poised to embrace the upcoming Rotary year with confidence and purpose—truly taking our theme, “UNITE for Good,” to heart.

Here's to the journey ahead and the difference we will make together!
