The Rotary Club of Metro North Caloocan with Good Pres Vickie S. Estella and other club officers, together with Hands Of God Charity Works Mighty Warriors founder Wilbeth Reyes and other members of his group recently joined hands in a noble charity project held at the Bagong Silang Phase 9 Basketball court to help kids with special needs, such as those with cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, hydrocephalus, and meningitis. We donated several bags of different goods and entertainment with clown as well as performers, and extended moral support to the parents of these children with special needs. This was the second time we did this activity with God's Mighty Warriors and we are certainly looking forward to more engagements with them in the future.
Indeed, we call them God's mighty warriors. Their struggles and challenges fit this description. Their voices are mostly unheard of to ordinary human beings. Maybe this is because God wanted their voices closest and most enduring to His ears alone. The music these warriors emit from their hearts could be the most beautiful sound to ever reach Heaven. Pure. Simple. Unobliterated by man's weakness.
It was difficult to control our emotions when we cared for these young warriors. It was almost impossible even just to contain our tears. But to hear their inspiring stories from their parents enriches our minds and souls, which only makes all our tasks as Rotarian caring for them fulfilling and very meaningful.
