In an inspiring convergence of minds and missions, the Rotary Club of Chinatown Circle, led by the MIP Marjorie Ramos-Sarmiento, launched Project BRIDGE (Building Respect, Inclusion, Dialogue, and Global Empathy) at the Rotary Center in Quezon City. This initiative, co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Jose Abad Santos Manila alongside other distinguished clubs from District 3810, seeks to harness the transformative power of the nonkilling paradigm to foster peace, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Project BRIDGE represents a critical endeavor within the Rotary community, emphasizing the importance of respect, inclusion, and dialogue as foundational elements in building a peaceful society. By promoting global empathy, the project aligns with Rotary’s enduring commitment to peace and conflict prevention, one of its key Areas of Focus. This initiative highlights the “Magic of Rotary,” showcasing how collective action and shared values can drive meaningful change.
The event, a hybrid of onsite and virtual participation, featured esteemed peacebuilders and global advocates for nonviolence from various countries. These thought leaders shared insights and strategies to advance ethical leadership and lasting progress, drawing on data from the Global Peace Index to inform their discussions.
Through Project BRIDGE, Rotarians are reminded of their pivotal role in shaping a more harmonious world. The initiative underscores the power of Rotary’s global network to create impactful change through collaboration and shared purpose.
