The Rotary Club of Western Pampanga's Project Clear Vision: Free Eye Care and Prescription Eyeglasses to Barangay Communities

The Rotary Club of Western Pampanga (RCWP) continues to make a meaningful impact on community health through its Project Clear Vision: Free Eye Check-up/Examination and Eyeglasses for the Barangay Communities. Conducted from October 2025 to April 2026, the project reached eight barangays across the municipalities of Guagua, Sasmuan, Sta. Rita, and Floridablanca, Pampanga. Led by President Joselito Lim together with fellow Rotarians, the initiative was implemented in partnership with various barangay governments to provide accessible eye care services to residents in need.

As of April 18, 2026, the project has benefited a total of 394 patients, serving residents of Barangays San Isidro, Siran, San Miguel, Sto. Tomas, Becuran, Poblacion, San Nicolas, and Sta. Filomena. Unlike ordinary eyeglass distribution activities, Project Clear Vision provides comprehensive eye examinations and refraction services to ensure that each beneficiary receives a personalized prescription. Every pair of eyeglasses is carefully matched to the recipient’s specific visual condition, helping improve vision, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.

Aligned with Rotary’s Area of Focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment, Project Clear Vision reflects RCWP’s continuing commitment to promoting health and well-being within local communities. By bringing professional eye care services directly to barangays, the project helps address vision problems that may otherwise go untreated due to financial or accessibility barriers. Having successfully served eight barangays, the Rotary Club of Western Pampanga remains dedicated to sustaining the program and expanding its reach through regular monthly implementations in communities throughout Western Pampanga.
