In the vibrant community of Rotary, service often begins with a single act of love—and grows into something far-reaching. This is beautifully reflected in the life and work of Sandra Corazon Lim Espina, wife of Past District Governor Joseph “Yumi” Espina, who has shown that a Rotary spouse can do more than support quietly from the sidelines. Sandra is a woman of substance and action. She exemplifies how a wife, mother, and advocate can extend her influence beyond the home and into the heart of the community. Her leadership in Parent Reach Foundation Inc. and Reach Learning Center has created meaningful opportunities for neurodiverse children—especially those with autism—through education and intervention that many families would otherwise be unable to access.

Her efforts were recently honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Cebu and the Department of Social Welfare and Development during a ceremony held on July 27, 2025, at the Golden Prince Hotel. The award commends her consistent dedication, compassion, and high standards in serving indigent children with autism in Cebu City through a full scholarship program.
While Sandra has received numerous accolades through the years, this latest recognition from the local government stands out. It reflects how her quiet determination and generous spirit have made a lasting difference—especially in an area deeply aligned with the priorities of many Rotary District Governors across the years.

This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of key partners, particularly the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente, longtime sponsors of REACH scholars, as well as the City Health Department, which recently extended free dental services to the school.
Sandra Espina is not only a devoted partner to a Rotarian leader—she is a leader in her own right. Her work has touched lives, uplifted families, and brought attention to causes that matter. She is a clear example of what it means to bring both heart and excellence into every endeavor.
To Rotary spouses everywhere: may Sandra’s journey remind us that strength can be soft-spoken, and impact begins when we choose to act with love.
We salute you, Spouse Sandra, for showing us how a life of purpose and compassion can truly transform a community—one child at a time.
