Teeing Off for Service: RC Angeles Kuliat’s 2nd Gov. Antonio Angeles Memorial Cup Raises Funds for Community Impact

On a bright and promising morning of July 11, 2025, the Rotary Club of Angeles Kuliat gathered service-driven hearts and golf enthusiasts for a meaningful cause at the pristine fairways of Pradera Verde Golf Club in Lubao, Pampanga. With nearly 100 participants — including professional golfers, Rotarians, business leaders, and supporters from sister clubs — the Second Gov. Antonio Angeles Memorial Cup – Golf Tournament was more than just a sporting event. It was a celebration of fellowship, philanthropy, and purpose.

This signature fundraising event honors the legacy of Gov. Antonio “Tony” Angeles, the club’s Charter President, a man whose passion for service continues to inspire its current and future members. Leading this year’s tournament was President Josephine Juna Dianelo, whose energy and dedication set the tone for a successful day of sport and service.

The event officially teed off at 6:00 AM, with RC Angeles Kuliat members fully present and hands-on, including President-Elect Leira Buan, who showed strong support for the club’s fundraising efforts. The atmosphere was competitive yet filled with Rotary camaraderie, as old friends reunited and new friendships were forged — all while supporting a greater cause.

A special highlight of the day was the awarding ceremony, hosted by Past President Lorna Regala, where winners, donors, and sponsors were recognized not only for their athletic achievements but also for their generosity and shared commitment to community service.

More than just raising funds, the tournament underscored the club’s mission to make lasting impacts in the lives of others. Proceeds from the event will sustain high-impact initiatives this Rotary Year, aligned with Rotary International’s 7 Areas of Focus — from education and water sanitation to maternal health and economic development.

RC Angeles Kuliat extends its heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, players, and volunteers who made this event a success. Their support ensures that the club’s various projects continue to create ripples of change across communities in need.

As the last putt sank and trophies were handed out, one thing was clear — the Governor Antonio Angeles Memorial Cup is not just about golf. It’s about honoring a legacy through service that uplifts and transforms.

Because in Rotary, every swing counts — especially when it’s made for a better world.
