In line with Rotary’s Focus on Economic and Community Development, the Rotary Club of Tanay turned over two (2) Rotacarts to the Tanay Ladies Association on October 4, 2025.
The project aims to promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for women in Tanay by providing mobile carts they can use for small-scale businesses. Through this initiative, the club continues to empower women to become self-sufficient and active contributors to the community’s economic growth.
Under the leadership of Club President Rampton Frias and Service Projects Chair Rtn. Roberto Peñaranda, the Rotacart Project stands as a testament to Rotary’s enduring mission to uplift lives through meaningful and practical service.
“By supporting women entrepreneurs, we are not only giving them livelihood tools, but also empowering them with dignity, confidence, and hope for a better future,” President Frias shared.
The turnover ceremony was attended by members of the Tanay Ladies Association and Rotarians from the club, highlighting once again the spirit of Rotary’s guiding principle — Service Above Self. This project also reinforces the club’s theme for the Rotary Year, “Unite for Good.”
Through projects like the Rotacart initiative, the Rotary Club of Tanay continues to create lasting impact in the community — empowering women, strengthening livelihoods, and fostering economic growth.
