The Rotary Club of Aseana Manila has extended its deepest gratitude to its sister club, the Rotary Club of Temerloh, for their generous and timely calamity donation following the recent fire disaster in Smokey Mountain, which displaced over 1,000 families.
The support from Rotary Club of Temerloh jumpstarted relief operations on the ground, where the United Chosen Presidents led the distribution of vital aid alongside local contributions to affected families.
The relief efforts were made possible through the collective work of the Rotary family, including Rotaractors led by their president Alessandra Santos; Rotarians Yohan Mesina Estalilla, Emilia Rivera, Wildy Co, Micah Co, Pauleene Santos, and John Gindap, who assisted in preparing food for the victims. Additional support also came from Rotarian Yana Estalilla and her Solana family, who extended generous contributions.
“This is Rotary at its best—unity in service, compassion in action,” said RC Aseana Manila President Sheryll Ann Mesina. “We are deeply thankful to RC Temerloh and to our own members and partners who came together to serve those in need during this difficult time.”
The tragedy highlighted not only the urgent need for community support in disaster-stricken areas but also the power of international Rotary partnerships to bring hope and relief to those most affected.
