RC San Fernando La Union explores Collaboration with BJMP for PDL Rehabilitation

The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) held its 24th regular meeting on March 18, 2025 at the Clubhouse, Thunderbird Resort, featuring Jail Senior Inspector Cherry Jane Reparip from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – La Union as the guest speaker.



Inspector Reparip provided an insightful discussion on the programs, projects, and initiatives implemented by BJMP to foster a positive and rehabilitative environment for persons deprived of liberty (PDL). She highlighted efforts aimed at improving education, livelihood, health, and reintegration programs, ensuring that PDLs have opportunities for personal growth and societal reintegration.


The meeting underscored RCSFLU’s commitment to supporting community development and promoting initiatives that uphold human dignity and second chances. Members expressed their appreciation for BJMP’s efforts and explored possible collaborations to support PDL rehabilitation programs.

Through engagements like these, RCSFLU continues its advocacy for service, empowerment, and positive change in the community.
