RC Metro Kalibo Inducts New Officers and Members of IJA Interact Club

A dynamic new chapter of youth leadership has officially begun as the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) recently hosted the induction and orientation ceremony for the Infant Jesus Academy (IJA) - Kalibo Interact Club. It was held on August 6, 2026 at IJA Kalibo Campus, Kalibo, Aklan.
The momentous event marked the formal installation of the incoming student leaders, spearheaded by newly inducted Interact President Ms. Bea Camille Flores, with guidance from IJA Club Moderator Ms. Aliana Marie Cawaling.
Under the leadership of President Leo Franklin Magno, the ceremony highlighted strong intergenerational support for youth service.
Youth Service Director Ace Feliciano officially administered the induction of the new officers and members, while Past President Megs Lunn conducted a comprehensive orientation to prepare the students for their upcoming service projects. Rotarian Angel Canoy also attended the event to show strong support for the young leaders.
Interact clubs provide young people with a platform to uncover their potential, build essential leadership skills, and discover the power of "Service Above Self".
"We are thrilled to mentor the students of Infant Jesus Academy as they step up to create positive change and lasting impact in our community," shared PP Megs Lunn.
Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for high school students aged 12 to 18. Designed to empower young people as future leaders, the program encourages members to drive impactful initiatives that benefit both themselves and their local communities while promoting international understanding and goodwill.
The Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo remains committed to expanding youth development opportunities across the province and invites other educational institutions to partner with them.
