The Rotary Club of Makati Cristo Rey (RCMCR), Rotary International (RI) District 3830 , in partnership with the Rotary Club of Dangjin-Songak (Korea) and RI District 3620, formally donated an Infant Radiant Warmer set to Ifugao General Hospital in Lagawe, Ifugao, during a turnover ceremony held on May 15, 2024. This was made possible through Global Grant No. 2567147 “Baby Warmth Love”, approved by The Rotary Foundation on October 17, 2024—RCMCR’s first-ever Global Grant project.

The donated medical equipment includes:
3 infant radiant warmers
3 patient monitors
3 infusion pumps
3 machine pulse oximeters
The hospital was chosen after a community needs assessment identified neonatal care, particularly hypothermia prevention, as a top health priority. In 2023, Ifugao had 96 home births out of 2,414, underscoring the need for better hospital-based maternal and neonatal care.
The project received support from several Rotary Clubs: Makati F. Zobel, Makati Rufino, Makati ASIA, Las Piñas East, Makati Metro, and Lamut (D3770). Attendees included RCMCR members, Rotaract Club of Makati Cristo Rey members, and partner clubs representatives.
RCMCR expressed deep gratitude to District 3830 Governor Prescy Yulo and the District 3820 Global Grant Team for their support and guidance. The initiative aligns with Rotary’s focus on maternal and child health, emphasizing sustainable, high-impact service.
