RC Cebu Gloria Maris Weekly Visit Brings Joy to Children of St. Arnold Janssen Development Center

“Hope grows from small acts of care.”

On the morning of October 30, 2025, the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris (RCCGM) embraced the spirit of compassion during their weekly outreach, Amoma sa Kaugmaon, at the St. Arnold Janssen Children Development Center. The event was graced by Past President Gay Marie Tiu, President Roxene Rosario, Secretary Dorothy Borces, and a dedicated team of Visayas Medical doctors—uniting expertise and heart to brighten the lives of the center’s children.

Located in a vibrant corner of Cebu, the children’s center is a sanctuary for the vulnerable—offering care, development programs, and hope to young lives facing adversity.

RCCGM’s visit was marked by heartfelt interaction, therapeutic activities, and medical support,

highlighting the club’s unwavering pledge to nurture and uplift.

“Every gentle touch and warm smile creates ripples of hope in these children’s lives.” The

morning unfolded with vivid laughter and shared moments, as members engaged with the

children through games and listening sessions that spoke volumes beyond words.

A comprehensive health check-up by the Visayas Medical doctors complemented the emotional outreach, addressing the children’s medical needs right on site, fostering a holistic approach that blends service and wellness.

Why This Project Resonates with RCCGM

The Amoma sa Kaugamon initiative lies close to the heart of the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria

Maris, reflecting its core value of compassionate service. The project nurtures hope in children who symbolize the future of the community.

Past President Gay Marie Tiu shared, “Our weekly visits to St. Arnold Janssen are more than outreach; they’re a commitment to planting seeds of health, happiness, and growth.”

As the day’s visit ended, the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris left behind more than support; it

left an enduring promise. “In every child we uplift, we build a brighter tomorrow.” Through

heartfelt service and collaboration, the club continues to champion the power of care—from

one hand to many hearts.
