RC Bongao Brings Joy and Aid to the Community of Sitio Mapanbubuh

The Rotary Club of Bongao has successfully collaborated with partners to bring multiple activities to the underprivileged community of Sitio Mapanbubuh, Bgy Paniongan. Around 70 children-beneficiaries received toys, courtesy of RI District 3850 Governor Mate Espina, while local boys received free haircuts from members of MBLT12. Additionally, the attendees enjoyed a healthy serving of arroz caldo, provided by PDG Lyndon Diet of Rotary Club of Dipolog.

The primary purpose of the visit to the community was to install a rainwater catchment, a mission that was jointly undertaken by the 1st Special Operations Unit PNP MG and MBLT-12 marine troopers. The Bongao Water District also participated in and supported the project, which is crucial to promoting water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) among the school children of Vendex Learning Center.

The Rotary Club of Bongao would also like to express gratitude to the Bgy Paniongan officials for their presence and cooperation during the event. This is a significant step towards achieving our goal of adopting a Rotary Village and serving the wider community.
