The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands has reached another milestone in its Global Grant Project with the groundbreaking ceremony at Sto Tomas Elementary School, its eighth beneficiary.
The project includes the construction of toilet blocks—two for females, two for males, and one for persons with disabilities—as well as the turnover of a 65-inch interactive television to support digital learning.
In collaboration with Sto. Tomas Elementary School, the initiative forms part of the Toilet Blocks Project jointly undertaken by Rotary District 3790 (Philippines) and District 3721 (South Korea), underscoring Rotary’s commitment to international partnership and humanitarian service.
The event was attended by officers, directors, and members of the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands, together with school head Leonila Catungal, teachers, and students of Sto Tomas Elementary School.
The project is expected to enhance both health and learning conditions, providing students with dignified facilities and modern educational tools.
By addressing essential needs in sanitation and education, the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands reaffirms its mission to uplift communities, foster goodwill, and empower future generations through sustainable service.
