Service knows no distance—and neither does fellowship. On October 17, 2025, the Cluster 1B Rotary Clubs gathered to host a warm fellowship lunch for the Rotary Club of Vigan Bikers at Anak ni Conching Restaurant, San Juan, La Union. The event was part of the bikers’ advocacy ride, “Bike to End Polio,” which symbolizes the Rotary family’s tireless effort to eliminate polio worldwide.
The gathering was filled with stories, laughter, and shared commitment, as Rotarians from neighboring clubs came together not only to welcome their biking counterparts but to celebrate the shared cause that unites Rotary clubs across districts. The lunch served as a moment of rest and renewal for the bikers, whose journey embodied Rotary’s enduring campaign for Disease Prevention and Treatment, one of its key Areas of Focus.
Beyond the advocacy, the fellowship lunch reflected Rotary’s mission of Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, fostering goodwill and understanding among members through the power of connection and friendship. It also supported Community Economic Development, as the event featured local hospitality and showcased La Union’s welcoming spirit.
The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union joined fellow Cluster 1B clubs in showing that fellowship fuels purpose. The afternoon ended with cheerful exchanges and heartfelt encouragements—proof that when Rotarians unite, even the simplest gatherings can drive global change.
As the bikers resumed their journey, the message was clear: every pedal, every mile, and every shared meal brings the world one step closer to a future free of polio.
