Opening Doors to Knowledge: The Rotary Library at Paraiso Elementary School

The Rotary Library at Paraiso Elementary School stands as a meaningful testament to service, collaboration, and a shared commitment to education. The project began on January 7, 2026, and was successfully completed and inaugurated on February 23, 2026 marking a significant milestone for both the school and the community it serves.

Funded through the generosity of the Rotary Club of Portland, Maine, U.S.A., with a total contribution of $3,000, the project reflects the power of international partnership in creating lasting local impact. The construction and expansion of the library were carefully overseen by the Rotary Clubs in Tarlac Province, Cluster 3-A of District 3790, whose dedication ensured the prudent us of the fund and the successful completion of the initiative.

This project is living proof that when we unite for good, we can accomplish greater things together.

More than just a physical structure, the Rotary Library along with the SELG and YES-O headquarters represents opportunity. It provides students of Paraiso Elementary School with access to books, learning resources, and a safe space where curiosity and creativity can thrive. It is a place where young minds are nurtured, and futures are shaped.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by a symbolic ribbon-cutting attended by all presidents of Rotary clubs in Cluster 3-A, District 3790. Their presence highlighted the unity and strong partnership among Rotary leaders, demonstrating a shared vision of empowering communities through education.

The excitement and joy of the students during the turnover ceremony reflected the true impact of the project. Their enthusiasm served as a reminder that every effort, every contribution, and every act of service plays a role in building a better future.

Through collaboration and a shared vision, we are not just building facilities, we are building brighter futures for our children.

This project also underscores the importance of cooperation across communities and countries. The partnership between local Rotary clubs and an international donor showcases how collective action can bring meaningful and lasting change.

As the Rotary Library opens its doors, it stands not only as a center for learning but also as a symbol of hope, unity, and service. It serves as an inspiration for others to take part in similar initiatives whether through volunteering, supporting community projects, or simply sharing stories that encourage others to get involved.

Because when people truly unite for good, there are no limits to what can be achieved.
