In a shared commitment to service and transformation, the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando (LU), alongside all Cluster 1B clubs, came together for a compassion-driven outreach project at BJMP Agoo, La Union. This initiative was led by Assistant Governor Don Ting, with the esteemed presence of District Governor Ariel Jersey and his spouse, Lady Eghee.
The event commenced with a Holy Mass officiated by Father Panay, whose emotional and thought-provoking homily emphasized second chances and inner peace.
His heartfelt words deeply resonated with the 171 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), serving as a powerful reminder that change is always possible, and that faith and redemption can illuminate even the darkest paths.
Beyond spiritual renewal, the program focused on empowerment through livelihood training, equipping the PDLs with practical skills in soap-making and vinegar-making. These initiatives aim to provide sustainable opportunities, fostering self-sufficiency and hope for reintegration into society.
Further extending warmth and compassion, snacks, hygiene kits, and gift packs were distributed, reinforcing the message that every individual is valued, supported, and not forgotten.
This initiative was more than just an outreach—it was a testament to Rotary’s unwavering dedication to service, unity, and dignity. It reaffirmed our collective mission to restore hope, offer second chances, and build a future where no one is left behind.
Together, we uplift. Together, we serve.
