Global Fellowship in Action: RC San Fernando La Union, RC New Hwangji Celebrate Partnership

The Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union (RCSFLU) recently hosted a delegation from its Korean Sister Club, Rotary Club of New Hwangji, South Korea (District 3730), from December 5 to 7, in a week filled with meaningful activities, community projects, and fellowship. The delegation was led by President Dong-Hwan Kim, highlighting the strong bond between the two clubs.



The visit began on December 5 with a warm Welcome Lunch at Sunset Bay, providing an opportunity for members and guests to connect and strengthen camaraderie. The day continued with the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Don Eulogio De Guzman National High School in Bauang, La Union, marking the start of another impactful educational support project, reflecting the club’s commitment to uplifting learning environments in the community.


On December 6, the visiting Rotarians and club members participated in a Basket Weaving Activity and distributed Christmas Packs to RCC Abut, supporting livelihood initiatives and promoting social welfare at the grassroots level. The day also included a Lunch Fellowship at Gefseis Greek and Grill and a Dinner Fellowship and Sisterhood Ceremony at Rosebowl, celebrating the enduring bond between sister clubs and emphasizing the spirit of Rotary fellowship.


The visit concluded on December 7 with a Morning Golf Fellowship at Thunderbird, offering an informal setting for networking and camaraderie among members and guests.


Throughout the visit, RCSFLU demonstrated its commitment to Service Above Self, blending community service, cultural exchange, and friendship.
