In a show of unity, fellowship, and civic engagement, the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) actively participated in a series of events that fostered collaboration with both military and fellow Rotary organizations.
On October 10, club members joined the Retirement Ceremony of Commodore Ike De Sagun of the Philippine Navy at Pier 3, Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC). The ceremony paid tribute to Commodore De Sagun’s exemplary service to the nation, with Rotarians extending their gratitude to the armed forces for their commitment to peace and nation-building.
The following day, October 11, members were given an exclusive tour of the BRP Miguel Malvar (PS-19), the Philippine Navy’s latest warship. The visit offered participants a closer understanding of maritime defense operations and the Navy’s vital role in humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
Later that evening, the club joined the 30th Induction Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Narvacan, celebrating unity and continuity of service among District 3790 clubs. The event underscored the strength of inter-club collaboration and the shared vision of building communities of peace, progress, and compassion.
Through these engagements, RCSFLU reaffirms that Rotary’s influence extends beyond projects—it lives in partnerships that uphold patriotism, strengthen fellowship, and sustain service that moves humanity forward.
