In celebration of the 121st Founding Anniversary of Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Rodriguez, in partnership with the Gwangju-Gwangsan Rotary Club, and the leaders of Rotary District 3710 and Rotary District 3800, successfully led a meaningful End Polio Vaccination activity for children aged one to five years old in Barangay Manggahan, Rodriguez, Rizal.
This noble initiative was spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Rodriguez together with District Governor Ok Jung Kim and District Governor Gina Sanchez, uniting Filipino and Korean Rotarians in one shared mission—to protect every child from polio and to help secure a healthier and safer future for the community.
The activity served not only as a celebration of Rotary’s 121 years of service, but also as a powerful demonstration of international partnership and grassroots action. Through close coordination with local health workers and community leaders, eligible children were reached and safely vaccinated, ensuring that no child is left behind in the global fight against polio.
The organizing team extends its heartfelt gratitude to the local government partners, front-line health personnel, volunteers, parents, and community stakeholders who generously gave their time, expertise, and support. Their dedication and cooperation were vital in making the vaccination drive efficient, orderly, and impactful.
For more than three decades, Rotary has remained at the forefront of the worldwide effort to eradicate polio—mobilizing volunteers, raising critical funds, strengthening health systems, and working closely with international and local partners to deliver life-saving vaccines, particularly in vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities.
As Rotary commemorates 121 years of Service Above Self, this End Polio Vaccination drive in Barangay Manggahan stands as a strong reminder that Rotary’s legacy is built not only on history, but on action—protecting children, empowering communities, and bringing the world ever closer to a polio-free future.
