Celebrating 40 Years of Service, Fellowship, and Global Partnership

Rotary Club of Valenzuela West Marks Ruby Anniversary with Legacy and Renewal

The Rotary Club of Valenzuela West proudly celebrated its 40th Charter Anniversary on 27 February 2026 at Solaire North, marking four decades of unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and community transformation.

This milestone celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of the Club’s Charter President, William Gatchalian, whose vision and leadership laid the foundation for what the club has become today—a dynamic force for good in Valenzuela and beyond. His enduring legacy continues to inspire Rotarians to uphold the guiding principle of Service Above Self.

Also highlighted in this year’s celebration was the continued legacy of public service embodied by his son, Wes Gatchalian, the current Mayor of Valenzuela City, reflecting a family deeply rooted in community development and civic leadership.

A significant highlight of the anniversary was the 15th Year Sisterhood Agreement Renewal between the Rotary Club of Valenzuela West and the Rotary Club of Hsinchu Hsinhu of Hsinchu, Taiwan. This enduring partnership stands as a testament to Rotary’s global mission of fostering international understanding, goodwill, and peace. For fifteen years, this sisterhood has strengthened cultural exchange, collaborative service projects, and lasting friendships across borders—proving that the spirit of Rotary transcends geography and unites communities worldwide.

As the Rotary Club of Valenzuela West celebrates its Ruby Anniversary, it reflects on a proud history of impactful projects, strong fellowship, and meaningful service initiatives that have uplifted countless lives. More importantly, it looks ahead with renewed passion and commitment to continue making a difference in the years to come.

Guided by the leadership of its current officers and members, the Club remains steadfast in its mission—to serve communities, empower individuals, and create sustainable change.

Indeed, forty years is not just a celebration of time—it is a celebration of purpose, legacy, and the enduring power of service.
