𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧: 𝘼 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚.

Last July 16, 2026, the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando La Union, led by President Bong Lee, proudly joined 𝐆𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐘 (𝘎𝘰𝘣𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺), a convergence of government services initiated by the Municipality of Bauang, La Union, bringing essential programs and services directly to the residents of Barangay Pugo, Bauang.

Spearheaded by the Office of the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ma. Clarissa "Bong" Lee, GABAY brought together various municipal offices to deliver accessible healthcare, legal assistance, social welfare services, agricultural support, information dissemination, and other vital government programs. Residents also benefited from free medical consultations, prescribed medicines, the distribution of rice, groceries, seedlings, and other much-needed community assistance.

As part of this meaningful collaboration, the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando La Union 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 to senior citizens and other residents of Brgy Pugo, extending not only nourishment but also compassion, hope, and the true spirit of Service Above Self. Past President Marilyn Hidalgo, also rendered 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to residents, helping address their legal concerns and providing guidance on their rights and available remedies. Her service exemplified Rotary's Vocational Service, where professional expertise is shared to empower and uplift the community. The club also supported the community through the 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙨, promoting responsible pet ownership and helping protect both animals and the community from rabies.

This partnership reflects the power of collaboration between local government and civic organizations. By working together, we are able to reach more people, respond to greater needs, and create sustainable, positive change within our communities.
