Aprons On: Putong Pulo 2026

Long-standing traditions of the Rotary Club of Valenzuela have always reflected its strong commitment to fellowship and service. Among these is Putong Pulo, a cherished event that brings members and partners together in celebration of shared purpose.

Guided by the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Valenzuela revived one of its most meaningful events on February 10, 2026, Putong Pulo. This year’s celebration carried a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude. Under the leadership of President Jennelyn Candido, the club introduced a thoughtful twist to what was traditionally a fundraising banquet.

Instead of focusing solely on donors and ticket holders, the club chose to place the spotlight on the people who continuously stand beside us in service. Our dedicated service partners and community collaborators were invited as honored guests as a sincere expression of appreciation for their steadfast support and shared commitment to uplifting Valenzuela.

Held as a warm and welcoming buffet breakfast, the gathering reflected both fellowship and gratitude. With Valentine’s Day, members serenaded our guests, offered flowers, and personally served more than 300 partners and customers in attendance. The morning was filled with laughter, music, and meaningful conversations, creating an atmosphere that truly embodied Rotary fellowship.

We were deeply honored by the presence of Gov. Gina Sanchez, SAG Don Santos and his spouse Ophel, AG Chris Yue, and our friends from Zone 3, whose attendance further strengthened the spirit of unity and camaraderie that defined the event.

More than simply the revival of a beloved tradition, the celebration affirmed our enduring commitment to service and fellowship. It marked not only resilience in the face of past challenges but also the beginning of a renewed tradition of genuine appreciation for those who help carry forward the mission and goodness of Rotary.
