The turnover was not just the handover of a facility but the passing on of a lasting gift to the community. The Community Kitchen, now fully equipped with utensils and appliances delivered earlier in the week, will serve as a hub for nourishment, livelihood, and care. It stands as a testament to Rotary’s commitment to economic and community development, disease prevention and treatment, and maternal and child health.
Together with Pres. Alvin, who personally facilitated the turnover, were Secretary Lexus, Treasurer Aldrin, PP Sherwin, Rtn. Roy, and Rtn. Daryll, representing the united presence of RC SFLU leadership and members. Their participation underscored the collective spirit of service that drives the club forward — living out Rotary’s call to “Unite for Good.”
The Kusinang Pangkabuhayan is envisioned to be more than a kitchen — it will be a safe space in times of need, a source of daily sustenance for families, and a venue for programs that promote health and well-being.
By entrusting the project to RCC Namtutan, RC SFLU empowers local leaders to carry on a legacy of service that will benefit generations.
This milestone reaffirms the power of collaboration between RC SFLU and its RCC partners. Together, they continue to transform lives through projects that address immediate needs while creating sustainable solutions for the future. Truly, when we Unite for Good, we build stronger, more resilient communities.
